| VIXEN | I put this one in two categories--just in case it referred to the all-fem '80s rock band VIXEN rather than a character style...VIXEN put out some great tunes, and the band members were very technically proficient musicians. Unfortunately, the lead guitarist and band founder (she started VIXEN in 1973 while still in high school), Jan Kuehnemund (diagnosed in JAN 2013), was Killed In Action (KIA) while fighting the battle with Cancer in OCT 2013. I was always impressed by this band (I'm a musician myself), and I have also had cancer (a successful fight against melanoma, and then a lung tumor), so I can sympathize. |
